'I'm Not Going There'

Is Kevin Jonas Selena Gomez's latest critic?

The former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star -- and ex-girlfriend of Jonas' younger brother Nick -- performed her new single "Come and Get It" at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday and earned plenty of negative feedback for both what she was wearing (the bindi controversy) and how she sounded (singing it live versus lip syncing).

And when the eldest Jonas brother and star of E!'s "Married to Jonas" stopped by Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" on Wednesday night, he played Plead The Fifth, where Andy Cohen asks a series of questions only one of which the guest can avoid answering.

Jonas answered who his favorite brother is and which brother he thinks is cuter (both depend on the day, but Nick for the former and Joe for the latter on Wednesday), but he pleaded the fifth when a fan asked, "Which of Joe and Nick's ex-girlfriends are your least favorite?" That put him in the obligatory position of answering the final question, which was, "Who do you think is the most overrated pop star out right now?"

Cohen suggested Demi Lovato, but Jonas replied, "She can sing her ass off! No, all the succes to her for sure." The host also suggested Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy while Jonas struggled to get words out. "Did you watch the MTV ... No, no, I'm not going there," he said with a smirk.

Jonas then backtracked, saying, "With music, it's fickle ... I think some people should stick to movies, some people should do music so ... Man, this is so hard because I feel like I'm going to get so much backlash." Cohen then threw out One Direction, but Jonas approved. "No, no those guys are great ... it's not a group; it's a person. I'm trying to be so nice and I can't be so nice."

Eventually, he settled for Psy-lena Gomez.

Even though Jonas never said her name, Gomez was only among a small group of performers at the MTV Movie Awards. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis also took the stage as well as host Rebel Wilson with the "Pitch Perfect" cast, but it's hard to call any of them pop acts.

Gomez fans, a.k.a. Selenators, certainly took Jonas' comments to mean their idol. Check out a couple samples below.

What do you think? Was Jonas talking about Gomez? Did he take it too far? Sound off in the comments.

"Watch What Happens Live" airs weekdays at 11 p.m. ET on Bravo and "Married To Jonas" returns on Sunday, April 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET on E!
