Tony Stark joined the proceedings at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, as a new clip from "Iron Man 3" debuted during the program.
Pre-release buzz for the movie seems to be at a fever pitch, aided in part by news that the film has been tweaked for Chinese audiences (star Robert Downey Jr. traveled to Beijing to promote the movie). A trailer also debuted at the Kids' Choice Awards.
The movie's U.K. premiere date was delayed to accomodate for late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher's funeral.
"Iron Man 3" lands in U.S. theaters on May 3. It's part of Disney's Marvel franchise of movies based on comic books, which means two things: a loyal fan base and lots of money. Pre-release estimates have the film on track for a $125 million-plus opening weekend, with interest levels polling higher than Marvel's mega-blockbuster "The Avengers."
All of which is to say that, at press time, it's still nice to be Tony Stark.
