WASHINGTON -- The White House Easter Egg Roll has announced the 2013 guest list. Over fifty iconic real and fictional characters will bring joy and cheer in a sometimes-costumed form to nearly 35,000 children and parents on April 1.

The release of the guest list is one more hint that the roll really will go on. As recently as March 19 White House press secretary Jay Carney was still reassuring the public that, regardless of the sequester-related cancellation of White House tours, this tradition wouldn't be axed.
