Despite Kanye West's boring streamlining influence on Kim Kardashian's style, the reality star isn't exactly the darling of the fashion world. Just ask Nicola Formichetti: The world-renowned stylist had trouble getting design houses to send high fashion duds to her most recent Elle magazine shoot.
"People wouldn’t lend me the clothes," he says in the mag. "But that’s fashion snobbery.”
Ouch. Fortunately, Kim didn't suffer too much from the snub -- the March issue of Elle hit newsstands this month, complete with a three-page style spread of Kimmy. Not to mention the 32-year-old doesn't seem to have a hard time obtaining runway looks off-duty (aka on her own dime).
And even though Kim is a bonafide fashion entrepreneur, the world of high fashion hasn't quite warmed up to her. Alexis Bittar has gone on the record regarding his anti-Kardashian policy and it was even rumored that Kanye was too embarrassed to bring Kim along to Paris Fashion Week last season. Double ouch.
But don't feel too sorry for the girl. Similarly infamous stars like Lindsay Lohan and Katie Price have also been blacklisted by brands. Oh, and there was that time Vera Wang refused to lend clothes to the "General Hospital" cast. So we guess she's in good company?
