"Downton Abbey" is real ... well, at least the castle is anyway. The hit drama is filmed at the $240 million Highclere Castle, which is inhabited by George Herbert, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon and his wife, Lady Fiona.
The 6,000 acre estate has more than 30,000 square feet of living space, 50 bedrooms and six entertaining areas. A staff of 70 attends to castle's 200-plus rooms.
