Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen's ex wife and mother of his twin boys, was hospitalized Friday morning (Dec. 7). Despite reports of a possible overdose, Mueller's reps deny the hospitalization was related to drugs.
TMZ first reported that Mueller was hospitalized for an alleged drug overdose at 11:42 a.m. on Friday in Los Angeles. Sources told TMZ that Mueller, who has been to rehab more than 15 times, has been abusing drugs for several weeks and those close to her were "deeply concerned."
Reps for Mueller denied those reports: "An assistant thought Brooke was non-responsive while she was napping and hastily called an ambulance," a rep told Us Weekly. "As a precaution, Brooke was brought to a local hospital and discharged after an hour. She was diagnosed with exhaustion and dehydration and is now fine and resting at home. That's it."
In December 2011, Mueller was arrested in Aspen, Colo., after allegedly assaulting a woman at a bar, the Los Angeles Times previously reported. The socialite and sometimes-actress was found in possession of at least four grams of cocaine.
Following the arrest, the 35-year-old underwent a 90-day treatment program in early 2012, Us Weekly reported.
Mueller married Sheen in May 2008. She gave birth to their twins, Bob and Max, the following year. On Christmas Day 2009, Mueller placed a call to 911 alleging that Sheen had threatened to kill her because she wanted a divorce. He pled guilty and went to rehab and anger management. The two divorced in 2011. Mueller is currently dating country singer Jaron Lowenstein, TMZ reported.
