Richard Grossman may not have blown the judges away on "America's Got Talent" (Tue., 9 p.m. ET on NBC), but he made sure to be heard regardless. After explaining how easy opera was, he proceeded to demonstrate that it is indeed easy to sing opera ... badly.
After Howard Stern described his audition as "a disaster," Grossman told him he didn't appreciate the rudeness. "I would never speak to you in that way," he told Stern.
Luckily for the judges and the audience, though, someone came along later who did opera justice. And it was a young man with a clear goth-inspired look and professed love of Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. To say that opera was the last thing anyone expected to come out of his mouth would be a complete understatement.
So while opera was represented by Andrew, it was Robert Grossman who was the Manners Police. Maybe he could make a career of standing off to the side during reality competition shows to keep the judges courteous during their criticisms.
Keep up with "America's Got Talent" Mondays at 8 p.m. ET and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
